Dennis de la Pick’ems Contest
Who Can Enter
1.
Entrants must be legal
2. Employees of NW Communications of Austin, Inc., owner of television station KTBC, and Emmis Broadcasting, owner of radio station 101X (collectively, “Sponsors”), their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family and household members of each are ineligible.
3. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Only one entry per e-mail address per week. The giveaway begins at 6am local time each Wednesday starting September 9, 2009 and all entries must be received by Saturday at noon local time, starting September 12, 2009. The contest will continue each week until Tuesday, January 5, 2010, when the last winner is chosen.
4. To enter, click on the word CONTESTS at the top of the www.myFOXaustin.com home page. This will take you to the contest page. On the contest page, click on the DENNIS de la PICK’EMS contest details link. Choose whose picks you believe will be the most accurate for the upcoming weekend: Dennis, Jason or Deb. The picks will be a mix of college and pro football games, with 7 games total for each person’s picks. Only by choosing the person with most accurate set of picks will you be entered in the contest each week. In the event of a tie for the most accurate picks, all entries that chose the tying picks will be entered in the drawing. Follow the instructions on contest page to enter. If you are not a registered myFOXaustin.com user, you must become a registered user and enter your name, address, phone number and age group. If you are a registered user you must enter your e-mail address.
5. Sponsors are not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware, or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry, winner(s) or other giveaway information by Sponsors or entrants for any reason whatsoever. Sponsors are also not responsible for any injury or damage to any entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any materials in the giveaway or for entries that are late, misdirected or incomplete. All entry materials may be maintained as part of KTBC’s giveaway records. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATIONS OF THE GIVEAWAY IS A VIOLATION OF THE CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSORSS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH ENTRANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Sponsors reserve the right to cancel or modify the giveaway if it becomes technically or otherwise corrupted.

One winner will be selected by random drawing
each week from among all entries that chose the person with the most accurate
picks for that week (Dennis, Jason or Deb) on or about each Tuesday at
9am.
The Prize
7. The winner will receive one NFL on FOX baseball cap, provided by FOX and a pair of tickets to a UT Basketball game, provided by KTBC. The approximate retail value of each prize is $55.
8. The winner will be notified by e-mail each Wednesday by 10am. The winner will be required to complete, sign and return a Certification of Eligibility and Release and claim the prize in a manner determined by Sponsors in their sole discretion within 7 days of the date of notification or that week’s winner will be disqualified. If a winner cannot be reached, or if a winner does not return the signed and completed Certification of Eligibility and Release and claim the prize within the designated time period, that prize will not be awarded for that week.
9. Prizes cannot be redeemed for cash or substituted for any other items by the winner. The winner cannot assign or transfer prize. Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a comparable prize of like or greater value, including cash, for any prize, for any reason.
10. The winner is responsible for all local, county, state, and federal taxes on prizes based on the value of the prizes set forth in these rules.
11. Only one prize will be awarded per household. Individuals are eligible to win only one prize within any 30-day period, regardless of the number of giveaways entered.
Odds of Winning Miscellaneous
12. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
13. Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use winners’ names, hometowns, likenesses, and photographs for broadcast, online posting, and/or any in any other media, including for advertising and publicity purposes, without additional compensation.

This giveaway is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited or restricted by law, including without limitation, in jurisdictions requiring registration, filing, trust account, or posting of a bond, or any other requirements or disclosures that are not expressly satisfied by these rules. Sponsors are not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, offering, or administration of the giveaway, or in the announcement of the prize.
17. By entering, participants represent that they are eligible, and agree (a) to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges, (b) to release Sponsors, their parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by any prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize, and (c) to Sponsors’ use of entrants’ personal information as described in the Privacy Policy located at www.myFOXaustin.com.
